About this place
Built in 1278 CE by Queen Chandrika of the Eastern Ganga dynasty, Ananta Vasudeva Temple is the only ancient temple in Bhubaneswar dedicated to Vishnu (all other major temples here are Shaivite). The presiding deity is Lord Vasudeva (Vishnu) along with Balabhadra and Subhadra. The temple faces the sacred Bindusagar Lake and is adjacent to it.
