Established in 1990 by the Odisha Science and Technology Department, Pathani Samanta Planetarium is named after the legendary Odia astronomer who calculated planetary positions without modern instruments. It hosts regular shows on astronomy, astrophysics, and space science in Odia, Hindi, and English, plus a library and sundial.
