Ranipur Jharial, historically known as Soma Tirtha, is a major archaeological site situated in the Bangomunda block of Balangir district. Dating back to the Somavamsi period (8th to 10th century CE), this site is famous for its circular, hypaethral (open-to-sky) Chausathi Yogini temple, which is one of only four surviving Yogini temples in India.
