Pataneswari Temple (also known as Patneswari Temple) is located in the historic town of Patnagarh, the former capital of the Patna Chauhan state in Balangir. Constructed in the 14th century by Maharaja Ramai Dev, the founder of the Chauhan dynasty in western Odisha, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Pataneswari, a manifestation of Shakti.
