Kotagarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Kotagarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a significant conservation area located approximately 140 kilometers from Phulbani, representing major Odisha wildlife protection effort. The sanctuary covers area of 399.5 square kilometers surrounded by hills and dense forests. The primary inhabitants are tribal communities—predominantly Kutia Kandha and Adivasi populations—who have traditionally coexisted with forest ecosystem.
