About this festival
Maha Saptami through Vijayadashami. Some of eastern India's most photographed pandals: Saheed Nagar, Rasulgarh, Bomikhal, Cuttack Chandi-margin Bhubaneswar units. The Cuttack silver-filigree (chandi) idols are a draw. Vijayadashami immersion procession on the 20th.
Traveller tip
Saheed Nagar, Rasulgarh and Bomikhal pandals are the showstoppers. Pandal-hop after 19:00 with friends or hire an auto for ₹600–₹800 for 3 hrs.
